A natural storyteller, 32-year-old Courtney LeMay Birnbaum spent her childhood telling outrageous jokes and stories to her parents during long commutes to and from school. In an attempt to keep Courtney’s constant jokes from causing her to laugh so hard she lost control of her car and/or bladder, Courtney’s parents provided Courtney with hundreds of books and magazines to read. It was incredibly effective.
Courtney’s love of written, spoken and televised words continues to grow today. Her 2020 short film “Morland & Mishaps” won third place in the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) Young Filmmakers Contest, which she completed with Christopher as a tribute to their shared love of reading.
Courtney has worked as a Design Coordinator for adult animated series at Titmouse and Rough Draft; a video archiver for the Tokyo Olympics; a designer and editor for hundreds of college athletics programs; and a teacher, coach and mentor for teens and adults in Southern California.
In her limited free time, Courtney enjoys catching up on webcomics, studying French and Japanese and training in Kenpo Karate. She also supports youth in the Los Angeles foster care system as a CASA volunteer. Courtney often plays one-sided games of fetch with her corgis, Sgt. Tibbs and Tulip.
